Melbourne has a way of making us fall in love all over again. It’s the golden light along the Yarra, the quiet beauty of its gardens and the laneways that tempt us to wander a little further. A familiar tram, coffee on a cool morning, a favourite street changing with the seasons—there is always something new to notice, even in the places we know by heart.

Explore Melbourne
Melbourne rewards a little curiosity. Look beyond the familiar landmarks and you’ll find quiet gardens, beautiful old buildings and laneways full of character. Even a street you know well can offer something unexpected when you slow down.
That is what we love about exploring with a camera in hand: noticing sunlight on a façade, reflections after rain or autumn leaves gathering along a path. Small moments like these keep us coming back, finding new reasons to love the city.
Start with a place you recognise, then see where the walk takes you. From Flinders Street Station, you can head towards the river or turn into the laneways and arcades. There is plenty to notice along the way.
